I look back and am overwhelmed by how far I’ve come, how good God is, how He truly turned my suffering into His glory, and how deeply grateful I am for the trials from my hard season.
On this journey called life we can get so caught up in making it to our goals that we don’t take time to appreciate the milestones or the moment. Measuring progress is a great way to track goals, but too often we focus so much on the “incompletes” or “in progresses” that we miss out on appreciating what has happened and on where we are right now.
Sometimes we forget the beauty and joy of knowing that we are being watched and we have an impact on others, but this experience has taught me just that. My aunt said it best, “I’m living out loud with NO regrets!” and this is true. Los Angeles has always been a dream but now that it’s reality. All I can say is, La La Land bring it on, because in the past six months you’ve shown me nothing but blessings.
Next time life has you feeling overwhelmed or troubled, take a walk outside. Look toward the sun. Study the leaves. If He created all of that with such detail and precision, surely He’s covered you just the same.
If we don’t take care of ourselves spiritually and physically, how can we truly be His light, give our best as parents, loved ones, friends, mentors, leaders and humanitarians?
