It turns out that the simplest things in life are also the most profound. Here are 4 simple life lessons from the miniature versions of ourselves and our best furry friends which I believe can have a profound impact on the quality of our lives.
These are just some of the examples I’ve seen of people turning their empathy into action – action that must not stop so that we can continue contributing to the conversations and solutions we must find, together.
Many people tell me they eat healthfully all the time, but what does eating healthy really mean? Healthy eating entails knowing how much protein, fat, carbohydrates, sugar, water, and sodium intake is needed on a daily basis based on one’s Basil Metabolic Rate (BMR); especially if you exercise daily, expend calories and trying to lose weight. Everyone should know their BMR to understand how many calories needed for body maintenance, support, and optimal health.
Let’s turn down the temperature in our voices and turn up our actions and willingness to listen. Together, let’s find solutions to move this nation past what has already occurred. We can’t change the past, but we can all choose to make a difference in our tomorrow and our future.
