When planting seeds of intention into the garden of the heart, you cannot manifest abundance in areas that haven’t been prepared with love and compassion. You must remove weeds, mix the soil, ensure there is access to sunlight, and provide room for the plant to grow without toppling over. Most importantly, you must give it its own new space free of debris from past harvests so that it can grow to its fullest potential.
You have an understanding through your life experiences of what a seed will need in the physical world; water, sunlight, space and love. Tapping into your wisdom, are there seeds that didn’t sprout in the way you intended? Every year when December comes, people are inspired to make New Year’s resolutions: be it losing weight, quitting an unhealthy addiction, or vowing to incorporate more of something you lack into your day to day. The beginning of the New Year for many can signal a moment of stillness, observation and commitments to self-love.
However, sometimes the preparation of space involves more than just buying a gym membership and pulling out those size 4 jeans as inspiration. You can avoid the sweets and buy healthy alternatives, but how long will it last? Until you uproot the pre-conditioned mind pattern that established that addiction in the first place, the seed can only be planted so deeply. If you keep inviting new commitments into your space without releasing the roots of old mindsets, then you aren’t giving the new intention enough room to flourish in the way the divine intended.
There are so many things I wanted this year that came to be. Every single thing I asked for I received, and none of them appeared in the way that my mind would have imagined. Only through my commitment to self and devotion to practices that uplift my spirit was I able to listen. I started to listen with the intention that I could be changed by the new things I was hearing, and not so attached to the ways I thought they should be manifesting.
I have adapted a practice of honoring the natural Moon Cycles and using the New Moon as a time to create sacred space for myself and to set intentions. On the Full Moon, I check those intentions to make sure that I’m still on track, and the cycle repeats monthly. I was led to share this practice and hold space for a group of women during these times. Through our own shared journeys of self-love and sisterly support, I have decided to launch a series of workshops next year that will expand the circle and allow women to come together in the fullest expression of their feminine energy. I welcome and encourage vulnerability, insecurity and open hearts as a means of expression and empowerment. We leave shame and pride at the door, for they no longer serve us in the ways we previously thought they could. And what does a Goddess do with subjects that no longer serve? SHE BANISHES THEM IN A SACRIFICE!
So on December 22nd, the last New Moon of 2014, I invite you all to offer a sacrifice of the internal self and clear the cords of attachments to things that no longer feed you spiritually. Take some time on that day to embrace the woman that you are in this exact moment. Buy flowers and have an amazing dinner. Enjoy a hot bath with your favorite salts and oils. Pamper yourself. After you have worshiped the divine temple that is you, dress in something that evokes your inner Goddess and make a commitment to yourself. Create a mantra that inspires you to let go, so that during the new year you can receive the thing that your heart truly desires to be aligned with. I would love to share my sacrifice with you. If it resonates, please feel free to incorporate this for yourself.
I, Symone, am sacrificing who I thought I was. I sacrifice the old truths adopted from someone else’s life; the beliefs that no longer hold water in the face of my rapid evolutionary change. I sacrifice any and every thing that has overlayed my core self in order to bolster my identity and give myself substance where I once felt empty and incomplete. I sacrifice all the things I clung to, which at first saved me from emptiness, but now are simply anchors that connect me to a past self that is no longer vibrant and alive.
Feel confident in the divine’s ability to remove the things that you declare do not belong, and trust that the heavens are aligning you with that intention and creating more room for the things you were designed to have. This year gave way for deep discovery of our true selves. 2015 is the year of manifestation. Evolution takes time, so check in with your intentions monthly to ensure you are still feeding what drives your spirit.
Now that you have let go, what are you being called to create?
lisa says
I have been called to create a life that allows me to openly express and live as I choose, not as others choose for me and one that honors my heart mind and spirit
