Winter’s coming and most of us spend a lot of time at home cooking and preparing holiday meals. Well, I don’t want you to forget to love on yourself a little bit in the midst of cooking and serving others!
I hope you enjoyed my at home tip on making natural lip balm with products right from your kitchen on the BYL Network. I promised you that I would give you three new wonderful tips that you can use and once again, you don’t have to go any further than your kitchen cabinets or local grocery store. These beauty tips will only take about 30 minutes of your day to love on yourself.
Exfoliate your skin naturally with a lemon
Exfoliating your skin is one of the most important steps in your skincare regimen. It helps to produce a healthy complexion, remove dead skin cells and other impurities. For an all-natural remedy, the citric acid in lemons naturally exfoliates and breaks down the proteins of the dead skin cells, getting rid of the outer layer of damaged skin. This creates soft smooth skin that looks younger.
If you want to get that all-natural glow, simply cut a lemon in half and use one half to rub all over your face. Let sit for 5 minutes then rinse thoroughly.
Moisturize and add a glow to your skin with honey
Looking for an all-natural glow and no time to go shopping then check your kitchen cupboards for all-natural honey. If your skin is dry or flaky, you can use honey to create a treatment that will moisturize it and leave it feeling soft and supple. I recommend using the purest, highest quality honey you can find. Honey is a natural humectant and it aids in keeping your skin wrinkle-free, soft and adds a natural, youthful glow to your skin. It also aids in evening out your skin tone.
Apply a thin layer of honey onto your skin and let set for 10 to 20 minutes. Rinse off the honey from your face with lukewarm water, and then gently pat your skin dry. You will immediately feel refreshed, and a new softness in the texture of your skin.
Egg White Instant Face Lift Mask
Getting a non-surgical instant facelift can be done without spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Egg whites may not give you a permanent facelift but they will give you a temporary tightening of the skin that looks very youthful.
There are also other benefits you get from an egg white mask. Eggs are made of protein and protein is great for nourishing your skin.
Rub one egg white onto face and let set until dry. Use a hot towel to remove. This will help to tighten the skin and keep it wrinkle free. It also preserves the moisture in your skin. Egg white masks are safe and effective and can be used several times a week.
