As we are still in celebratory mode for Bahamian Independence I wanted to share with you some information about my country. Here is a categorized list with a few examples of what makes us Bahamians. Hopefully, you would find an appreciation for another country and come on over for a visit.
Broken in Thought: A Place Where Stress Can Take You
Sometimes we don’t know when we are stressed, so before your body tells you – take time for yourself daily. Get up a little earlier for prayer and a word, take a walk and feel the sun on your face, laugh out loud even if your co-workers joke isn’t that funny, eat well, and drink lots of water. Whatever it is you have to do to make yourself happy, just do it! The world is a better place when I am Loving On Me! You should do the same.
Divine Connections
Oh, to witness the end product of some of the most extravagant costume pieces, to hear the sound of the rhythm drum as it calls to all members of the backline consisting of cow bells, base drums and brass instruments to become in sync and make the most melodious music this side of heaven. A lot of people only see the beauty and splendor as members dance and entertain them in the streets, but may never really know what it takes or understand why they love it so much.
