\"Colorful<\/a>I love spring! The crisp mornings, longer days and riot of colors make it a glorious season. It\u2019s like a visual promise from God. Even though we may be feeling dormant or ignored, spring gives us a reason to hope and celebrate the newness that will soon be on its way.<\/p>\n

On my walk this morning I saw some tulips breaking through the soil. Just an inch or two out of the ground, you had only a hint of the beauty that was in store.<\/p>\n

I chuckled as I walked past thinking I\u2019m just like them. After months of feeling like everything is happening in slow motion, I can feel myself shooting up toward the sun.\u00a0 It\u2019s springtime in my life, and I am coming in full bloom.<\/p>\n

I know it\u2019s not for my glory \u2013 it\u2019s for His! It was God who planted the bulbs in my spirit and allowed them to become ideas that have taken root. Now finally, they are springing forth for the world to see in magnificent celebration of His favor.<\/p>\n

Thank goodness I had the sense not to try to dig them up when things got a little uncomfortable, when I felt the first inkling that something might be happening beneath the surface. And praise God I exercised a little patience when things took a bit longer than I would have liked, because if I had given up I would have never gotten to the good part.<\/p>\n

So often we throw in the towel mid-season. We get tired or frustrated. Not because things aren\u2019t going the right way, but because they\u2019re not going our way, or worse, on our timeline. We whine, waffle, and finally walk away before we get to the win.<\/p>\n

But that tulip reminded me that before we\u2019re ready for display we have to go through a little dirt. We have to be broken, allowing our roots to grow deep. It is the \u2018uncomfortable\u2019 cold temperatures of winter that encourage us to sprout as we feel the warmth of spring. Finally as the temperatures heat up, we come into full bloom.<\/p>\n

Like everything in life, it\u2019s a process. And if we skip a step, the magnificence that God has planned for our lives will not manifest. Instead, we experience but a pittance of our full radiance.<\/p>\n

Are you wondering why you always see the bud never the full bloom? Be patient, and stop picking the flowers before they are fully in season. Wondering why you can feel things shifting, but never see the sprouts? Be patient, and stop digging up the bulbs because you\u2019re uncomfortable. Wondering if there is anything planted in you at all? Be patient, believe God\u2019s promise for a \u2018hope\u2019 and a \u2018future\u2019, and work where you are while he\u2019s allowing your future to take root.<\/p>\n

I know the seasons are long sometimes \u2013 two years before I saw sprouts! But I just want to encourage you that they are worth the wait. My faith and patience are paying off, and my field of dreams is in sight.<\/p>\n

Yours are worth the wait too! Even now, as you\u2019re reading this He is working underneath the surface, preparing you to enter into your full magnificence. Trust Him. Believe in Him. And Don\u2019t Give Up Before the Good Part!<\/p>\n
